Cosmetic teeth whitening results compare quite well to dental teeth whitening. Bright White Smile use mid strength dental grade gels to minimise tooth sensitivity and ultimately customer discomfort. Our results are not as obvious as dental whitening but neither are our prices.
Teeth Whitening is a relatively safe treatment according to the majority of studies done in the last 10 years. Modern whitening gels are better formulated and in general cause much less sensitivity than their earlier predecessors. Bright White Smile have developed a technique that minimises lip & gum whitening and maximises customer comfort making teeth whitening a pleasurable experience.
Our LED cool light cosmetic teeth whitening is very effective and produces better and faster results compared to other whitening methods. Depending on your tooth shade and condition, Bright White Smile Cool Light LED teeth whitening can whiten teeth from 2 to 8 shades.
The Bright White Smile whitening treatment is simple and pain free. A cheek retractor is used to give you access to your smile teeth, then with our specially designed whitening pen you simply apply the gel to your teeth. Our LED cool light is then positioned to accelerate the whitening process, which facilitates better gel penetration through the tooth enamel. All you have to do is sit back and relax.
In general if your teeth are yellow, it will be easier to make them whiter. Gray teeth are harder to whiten. Your teeth can only be whitened to their genetic natural whiteness
Food and drinks can greatly influence the colour of your teeth. There are foods and beverages that make your teeth darker, the worst offenders being red wine, cigarettes, soft drinks, citrus, coffee & tea, curries, soy sauce and berries. (It is recommended to avoid the above staining agents for the first 24 hours after treatment to maximise whitening results).
Whitening is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding mothers, children under the age of 16 or poor dental health (decaying teeth, exposed roots, gum disease, braces, recent oral surgery, jaw problems or allergic to peroxide).
Cosmetic Teeth Whitening works better on your natural teeth and will only bring your crowns, bridges and veneers back to their original colour.
On average you can expect to have whiter teeth for up to 2 years dependent on lifestyle. Good oral hygiene can also assist in prolonging results. This treatment can also be repeated more regularly. Bright White Smile Premium Home Whitening System can also be used to maintain and improve your tooth colour in the comfort of your own home.
Whitening toothpastes can be effective for removing surface teeth stains and maintaining your tooth colour after a professional teeth whitening procedure. These products generally have a very low Peroxide concentration and usually do not enhance the colour of your teeth.
Teeth whitening is not supposed to be painful, but with that said keep in mind that it may cause some tooth and/or gum sensitivity. If sensitivity does present it usually only lasts for up to 24 hours.
If you have untreated cavities, problems with your gums (sensitive gums or gum disease), or the enamel of your teeth has thinned-out due to acid damage or grinding your professional consultant may decide against tooth whitening. In this case you may be referred to your dentist for a consultation.
